Have any of you watched the WPBA Pacific Coast Classic (Lincoln City, Oregon) via television? If so, what do you think of Jeanette Lee's commentating? I'd like to hear MUCH less of her input, "shot calling" and extreme out loud comparative "thinking". The question pertains to Professional Sports/Billiards Commentating, and nothing else. Your consideration in answering the direct question itself, is appreciated. Thank you. Tim - The last half with Jeanette Lee, was much "tamer" than the semis. I agree that giving some insight from the commentator(s) is good. However, doing everything but jumping into the match to play and the over-emotion of any commentator, is a bit much. Jeanette toned it waaaaay down when Karen Corr stepped up to play. It looked as if Jeanette was coached by either Mitch Lawrence or someone from the ESPN crew. I could be wrong, though there was a noticeable difference in her commentating in the final match. If you get a chance, watch the semis of that tournament : Viv' Villareal vs. Monica Webb. Lisa -with all due respect, she was rarely seen while commentating the tournament. So, it wasn't about physical appearance. She was hired for fan appeal (no doubt) and her notoriety as a fan favorite.
